It’s debate time. This week, the many Democratic candidates came together for the first presidential primary debates, where they responded to questions on important issues regarding the economy, education, the environment, etc. (Well, kind of.)
The choices we make in the next few years will affect our lives for the next 40 years, so young people should be in the driver’s seat for a debate.
We deserve to ask the questions. We have a different experience with and perspective on issues that are most pressing for our country, i.e. the economy, jobs, safety, climate change, healthcare, education, criminal justice, and the list goes on. It’s time we get some younger representatives to ask the candidates about the stuff we care about.
