Hate should have no place in America. The frightening violence and bigotry on display in Charlottesville on August 12th should shock us all into action—and our elected officials, too.

Our politicians must use their power to condemn acts of racism in the strongest possible terms. Here’s what we can do: call our elected officials and tell them to formally recognize all white nationalist groups that inflicted violence in Charlottesville as terrorist organizations.

If our reps are silent on this issue, they’re complicit. We need to send them a clear message: hatred cannot be tolerated.
